אונאה, און, Heliopolis

[Disclaimer: if you follow fully the logic you'll understood the necessity of the vulgarity]

Note the word און having reference to ספירת יסוד in the following:
כחי וראשית אוני  1
2   אכלה ומחתה פיה ואמרה לא פעלתי און (משלי ל - (the food/sex connection being well established in Torah)
3  the zohar on כהן און and יוסף. Also, עיין תרגום יונתן בן עוזיאל עה"פ ולכהן מדין- ולאוניס דמדין
4 אונן בן יהודה

So with this I thought to put a new dimension on the pasuk   ולא תונו איש את עמיתו ויראת מאלהיך כי אני ה' אלהיכם. (being the source of the איסור אונאת דברים)

Artscroll translates as "do not aggrieve" but I thought (considering the above) the vulgar usage is actually the most accurate: "do not be a jerk/ a dick / a prick".

There's nothing technically wrong in what he said and yet in every mention of זכור מעשיך הראשונים (Bava Metzia 58, Sifra Behar Perek 4) there's an אונאת דברים in just being a jerk at heart (explaining nicely the ויראת מאלהיך i.e. it's not the words themselves but the heart's meanness which is what is so egregious)

Also note the Egyptian city of און / Heliopolis known for it's phallic obelisks and worship of the Sun (male). 'nuff said.

ועיין שם במשלי ל -- דרך אניה בלב ים..דרך גבר בעלמה...

[ Fascinatingly enough, according to wikipedia, Heliopolis/און was capital of the Province of Goshen and became known as "the city of bread" for the storehouses of Yosef.. the further יוסף, ברית, משביר, לחם interconnections here being numerous... ]

וצע"ע the בנימין vs בן אוני issue....

[ Note also the interesting ראובן connection to און-- in כחי וראשית אוני and ואון בן פלת בני ראובן ]

[ועפ"ז מבואר על פי סוד למה חז"ל בחרו בשיעורו של שתות לאונאה]

Etymology - Omni - אמן

I'm curious if there's any connection between the latin "omni" (all, everything) and the hebrew אמן whose gematria is 91 along with it's equivalents האלהים, סוכה, הוי"ה אד"ני...

Note that similar to the assertiveness and כיבוש that is part of מלחמה so too לחם is only formed through 11 מלאכות on the land and the grain.

Also note, לחם is the only "processed item" ever mentioned in a beracha.  Along those lines, I would explain the strange phrase of המוציא לחם מן הארץ. It's not often that I take pleasure in the developments of modern hebrew over that of the earlier but in מוציא I actually would explain along the lines of the modern hebrew connotation of  effect/result (תוצאות/תוצא)  i.e. המוציא לחם מן הארץ -- having "effectuated" bread from the earth by way of process, as opposed to בורא פרי העץ-- the lack of direct human involvement in the growth and coming-into-being of the fruit being more appropriate then to בריאה...

Compare with מוציא שם רע.

ברכת זימון ספרדים ואשכנזים

ברכות ריש פרק ז שלשה שאכלו כאחת חייבים לזמן גמ' מנה"מ אמר רב אסי דאמר קרא גדלו לה' אתי ונרוממה שמו יחדו רבי אבהו אמר מהכא כי שם ה' אקרא הבו גדל לאלהינו

Note רב אסי's source touching on both הקב"ה Himself (גדלו לה) as well as שמו whereas רב אבהו's pasuk is entirely a function of שם ה/אלהים alone. Possibly finding parallel in the two versions of זימון between sefardim and ashkenazim.

הב לן ונבריך למלכא עלאה קדישא... וכו' נברך אלהינו שאכלנו משלו -- sefardim

יהי שם ה' מבורך מעתה ועד עולם ...וכו' נברך אלהינו שאכלנו וכו -- ashkenazim

ואכלת ושבעת וברכת א"ת ה' אלהיך

Arabic Eid - Holiday

יתנו עדיהם ויצדקו וישמעו ויאמרו אמת

See ריש מס' ע"ז below.
Note "E'id" (عيد) being the arabic word for festival/holiday is spelled with the arabic equivalent of an ע, a ع.

דף ב,א רב ושמואל חד תני אידיהן וחד תני עידיהן... מאן דתני אידיהן לא משתבש דכתיב (דברים לב) כי קרוב יום אידם ומאן דתני עידיהן לא משתבש דכתיב (ישעיהו מג) יתנו עידיהם ויצדקו

[Curiously as well the arabic is spelled with the equivalent arabic letter י, as is spelled in the Gemara (עידיהן) , but in the actual מסורה it's spelled without the yud עדיהן]

Netanyahu Obama Press Conference May 20, 2011; What a Shame...

Excerpt of PM Netanyahu Speech to President Obama, May 20 2011

"But I can say that even at the dearth of — even at the nadir of the valley of death, we never lost hope and we never lost our dream of re-establishing a sovereign state in our ancient homeland, the land of Israel. And now it falls on my shoulders as the prime minister of Israel at a time of extraordinary instability and uncertainty in the Middle East to work with you to fashion a peace that will ensure Israel’s security and will not jeopardize its survival.

I take this responsibility with pride but with great humility, because, as I told you in our conversation, we don’t have a lot of margin for error and because, Mr. President, history will not give the Jewish people another chance."

Am I the only one who thinks Prime Minister Netanyahu talked like an אפיקורוס and was מחלל שם שמים with those last words- "history will not give the Jewish people another chance". It runs against everything we believe in from the Torah and the basic faith of our אני מאמין. Our forefathers have lived and died by the belief that history ultimately will give  ישראל a home-- GIVEN! That ultimately the world will work out--GIVEN! That no matter what human attempts are made whether to destroy or even save the Jewish people, existence DEMANDS that ישראל  will remain regardless (בשביל ישראל שנקראו ראשית and Mordechai's telling Esther כי אם-החרש תחרישי, בעת הזאת--רוח והצלה יעמוד ליהודים ממקום אחר, ואת ובית-אביך תאבדו; ומי יודע--אם-לעת כזאת, הגעת למלכותand then you go and say "history will not give the Jewish People another chance"?!! I'm very disturbed by a leader who thinks it falls upon his shoulders the success of Creation.... בהדי כבשי דרחמנא למה לך. מאי דמפקדת איבעי לך למעבד ומאי דניחא קמי קודשא בריך הוא ליעביד...  very disturbing....
