בער

Seems to me from a few various psukim that the concept of an איש בער is used in contrast to traits of דעת which then makes it particularly strange that בלעם בן בעור should be the one to proclaim יודע דעת עליון....

אהב מוסר אהב דעת ושונא תוכחת בער
ואני-בער ולא אדע בהמות הייתי עימך
איש-בער לא יידע וכסיל לא-יבין את-זאת

Further investigation is needed as well by שן ורגל ואש in פרשת משפטים and the heavy בער repetition over there.
